I'm getting problems with my new gaming rig. The screen just turn black, and the computer freeze, this happens randomly. Sometimes gaming, when browsing websites or doing whatever.
I try updating the drivers (all of them), try with fresh new install of Windows, at the beginning I was using Windows 8.1, and try with Windows 7 also with no luck. I can't replicate the failure, I try stressing the CPU, RAM and GPU, but sometimes I can run the computer for several hours (6 or more) without any blackout, other times just play any game for 15 minutes and the computer freezes or when watching youtube, working with office, or sometimes when the computer is just doing nothing.
The specs are:
- MSI 970 Gaming Board
- AMD FX 6300 3.5 ghz
- Sapphire R9 270 Dual-X 2GB GDDR5 video card
- Vulcan Team 2133 8 GB RAM (2x 4GB modules, running at 1600 Mhz)
- RAIDMAX PSU 500 Watts
- 1 TB barracuda seagate HDD (NO SSD)
Everything is brand new.
I suspect the PSU, but I'm not sure, I already order a new 700 Watts PSU to try, but I don't know if somebody experience the same problems with this setup and a 500 Watts PSU.
Also, everything is running at stock speeds, I'm not overclocking anything yet. .
