New PSU 750W or 850W for future SLI

I need a new PSU before I can buy a GTX 770
I dont know if I need to buy a 750W or 850W. And sometime in the future, I'd like to upgrade to SLI and possible upgrade my motherboard and CPU as well. My CPU is i7-2600

Here's what I've looked at so far:
Corsair RIM750W and RM850W
EVGA 750W G2 R and 850W G2 R

Money is a big limit, but I can afford those I listed.

If you plan on adding a 2nd card or even upgrading later to a new card, go with the 850 for the price difference its not going to hurt. Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it... IMO
  2. Go with the EVGA G2 850 is what I would get although the 750 will handle it.
  3. I think I would use the EVGA 850W G2 since you can afford it.
Normally, I don't like to overspend on planning for sli. Often it is better to upgrade just a single card.
In this case the evga unit is an excellent one. A psu will only use the wattage demanded of it, regardless of it's max power.
  4. what about the Corsair AX860, is it worth the extra 35$ (In my country) compared to EVGA 850W SUPERNOVA G2 R ?
  5. That EVGA one will work just fine.

The G2 is one of the best made so the AX is not worth the more price.
  7. Going with EVGA 850W G2 thanks for all the replies :)
