Hey, I am planning to build a new computer and it is only my second one I've ever built, but my first time getting parts. I have been doing a lot more gaming, recording, and editing (Using a capture card) so as I was looking through parts, I just want to see if I will have any issues with what I have like if the motherboard isn't compatible. Also, a case idea would be nice, but I am still looking so just help on this would be good.

Money is not an issue, but the cheaper the better.

CPU - i7 4770k Intel Quad Core Desktop Processor
Motherboard - GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK
Storage - (HHD) Seagate Desktop 3 (SSD) Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series (1TB or 500GB)
Graphics Card - XFX Radeon R9 280 Graphics card
Memory - Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB)
Optical Drive - LG Internal UH12NS30 BD-ROM Blu-ray Optical Drive
PSU - Corsair CX Series 750 Watt

(Sorry in advance for the few links to Amazon)

You have planned to spend way too much on the components that don't matter so much for your needs, and not enough of what does matter (PSU and GPU). Could you use PC Part Picker? I'd suggest an Intel i5 4690K, 8GB of Vengeance memory, an EVGA 750W G2 PSU, an ASUS ROG Hero Z97 motherboard and something like an ASUS GTX 780 or Sapphire AMD R9 290. :)

Yeah, I tried using a part picker, but the setup of the website was a little confusing. Thank you for the tip though! I'll look into the suggested parts. If I can ask, what is your stance on how much SSD I need? That's also something I am questioning.

Looks nice. How well is it working? I feel like trying for something like that, but a little more storage. I game a lot but do a lot of recording/editing too, so all of the videos and games need to be stored on drive until I get a nice external drive for the videos.

I typically have been liking the 250ish gig ssd's with a few 7200 rpm data drives, this lets me install the most important things on the ssd, and the other stuff on the HDD(s). the 500gig ones are slowly becoming more cost effective, but I'm 6 months into my build and the 250 isnt a handicap yet.

you can always swap out the wd black for a larger drive or two or the like, not to mention add storage as needed.

Absolutely love my own build:
Intel Core i5-4670K | Phanteks PH-TC12DX_RD | Asus Z87-Pro | Avexir Core 8GB
| 840 EVO 250GB | WD Blue 1TB | Asus GTX 660 Ti 2GB | NZXT H440 (R/B) |

I think I'm gong to get a 500GB and as I go along get more if I need it. I can just save my videos to HHD and my games to the SSD, and I have changed my list of what I am getting to build my computer to a combination of what Alex said and a little bit of what I had.
