Im wondering because my brothers boss wants him to install windows 8 for her daughter due to her getting a virus or something like that (not sure what happened, brother told me its slow and has a virus), but anyways, they want him to do it, he agree'd without ever doing anything like this, just wanting the money involved. I dont know the specs of the computer but it has an i5 so should be powerful enough for the OS, but how will i go about deleting Windows 7, then installing windows 8, and then will i have to install the drivers? Is it easy enough for someone who knows stuff about computers but never installed an OS before? Whats the worst thing that could happen?

Just search a simple youtube video onto how to do it if you have everything you need then it will be easy for really anyone.

An unusable system.

It's pretty hard to get to that point, but not unheard of. For someone that has never done an OS install, and getting paid for it...I see fools on both sides of the dollar.

I could care less if i get paid for it honestly, i just want to do it so i learn how to install an OS, but it just seems unfair for my brother to get paid for it when i install it for him and his boss.

Bottom line:
No, it's not hard, if you have a restrained mouse finger. One bad click could potentially screw things up.
Read the dialog boxes, understand what it is saying, and make the appropriate choices.

Windows will probably install a basic set of drivers, just to get things working. After that, install the manufacturer specific ones.
