samsun 840 pro 256 gb solid state drive.

i picked up this stuff because this was the parts that needed to be upgraded most. I asked around different people i knew that know more about computers and overall this is what came out of it. my thing is while this is all good stuff, is it all really necessary, would i really need 16 gb of ram for gaming, maybe not but is there any benefit to having 16 gb? also the processor is pretty powerful and so is the motherboard. would i really need all that or is it fine if i have that to i guess "futureproof" as they say. the SSD is not so much in question, but still suggestions about if it is a good investment would be nice. overall on top of what im asking, if it makes sense what im asking, is what the pros and cons would be to this selection of parts. sorry for the long questions but i need this.\
also this is late but if yuo want to know my graphics card, it is an

The processor sure is powerful, but it will surely last for years and can handle any game you throw at it. The motherboard could be switched for a z87.
You only need 8GB of RAM for gaming, I don't think anymore than 8gb is necessary. You could've gone with an SSD with less storage and then buy a 1-2TB HDD to store most of your stuff. Overall this is some quite decent components you have here. I'd say the RAM was a bit overkill but other than that you should be fine.
