Hello everyone,

I recently build myself a new PC and have noticed that all USBs on my motherboard including the ones on the front remain powered even when the PC is shutdown. This wouldn't be much of a problem except my speakers are USB powered and have no off button. I have looked in the BIOS but couldn't find an option to disable USB power.

If it is any help I am running Windows 8.1 Pro

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this issue. Thank you in advanced

Thomas

Thank you for your reply, however I looked in those settings but couldn't find an option about USB power?? Is it under a different name?

Actually it is a bit difficult to look any harder when there is only one option under USB Settings which doesn't relate to my question anyway.

But thank you and SR-71 Blackbird for your answers however, I think I have solved it by enabling an option in my BIOS under power settings. I think it is ErU or something. It makes the PC save more power when shut down and it seems to turn of the USBs when shutdown now. But thank you for your help any way :)
