hi guys,
i have a vostro 230 desktop pc with a 300 watt psu.
the intel graphics/intergraded vga died.

Thats why i installed the 5450 radeon g card, xpx one 1gb
wich recomends a minimum of 400 watt PSU.
Seems to be working fine.browsing web/video/basic stuff.

I've read in some posts, that it will be fine without gaming or high performance programs..
my question is, will it be okay watching VIDEOS/movies/music via HDMI port. in 1080p?
and not over heat or something?

its my wives she has no intentions of GAMING.lol
please excuse my PC ignorance,
i would really appreciate the help..

5450 requires 22 amp @ 12+ volt in a single rail and a 300watt psu minimum...and yes u can watch movies and do all other stuff gaming puts the card at load and the card draws more power then...

Dell PSUs are great. You should be fine even for gaming, nothing else uses much power (not 1080p, not movies, nothing comes close to gaming)
