Hello guys,

Recently my computer (after about two years) has been crashing when doing any amount of gaming for after about half an hour or so. Vertical lines appear on my screen (they vary in color every time it crashes). I'm still able to hear sound so I believe it's probably an issue with my graphics card. I think it's overheating because if I place a fan next to it, it seems to work much longer, but it's really not a permanent solution. I guess I should upgrade soon, so if I were to do so, should I hold out until the next series?

Thanks in advance.

That sucks, the 7950 is still, by all means, a good card!

Yup, this is an obvious card issue.
Either back off the clock speeds, and take manual control of the card fans, or, it sounds like, this card may be on it's last leg.

Yeah, it still runs everything wonderfully for the short time it works. I removed the OC I did a while ago, after the first time this happened. I think it's still under warranty (maybe, I'd have to check) but it's from Sapphire and I hear they have notoriously bad customer service. I guess I'll see if that works, if not, I'll get a new card and then make a new build in about 3 years when I go to college. Thanks for the conformation though!
