Around a month ago I upgraded my GPU & CPU, I began getting blue screens after about a week and after some research i came to believe that it was a faulty GPU. So I RMA'd the card and Got a new one. For about the first week it was great. But today I blue screened once again, and later my game froze randomly and would not respond. So now I'm on a search to find out what the error messages in the blue screen means so I can verify that it is the card before wasting another $20 in shipping.

I know nothing really about computers, this is my first ever build and it's all a learning experience for me. Is there any way to be able to view the error messages that were contained in my earlier blue screen? I'd have to assume Windows would create a log of the event for further investigation. I'm running Windows 7.

Thanks in advance.

I went through all that with the first card, but PSU is 650w (I believe, not at the Pc atm). CPU is fx-8350. GPU is Asus R9 290 DirectCU II. The first time around, i basically proved it was the GPU because I took out the R9 290 and put an R9 270 in it's place and everything worked fine, used that the whole 2 weeks while waiting for the replacement R9 290 without an issue.

Just as well, Newegg's RMA process states they (supposedly) test all RMA'd products before issuing a replacement. They had no issues with sending me a new one, but they very possibly could have skipped on testing my RMA'd card (although it'd be wise from a business standpoint for them to actually test). I just want to look at what the blue screen showed as an error so I can make sure there isn't a second issue happening as well.
