Please help me figure out why I lag

Hi, I am lagging while playing games but I don't know why.

Graphics card: Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB

Processor: Intel core i7-2700k, Socket-LGA1155. Qiad Cpre. 3.5Ghz, 8MB, 95W, Boxed w/fan

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, Socket-1155

I dont know much about pcs, but I know it isnt my internet that is causing me lag, tell me which of the parts that is outdated and should get changed, thanks in advance ! :)

Is that 47c under load or idle[b/]

I just played a match of League of Legends and lagged, then 10min later I restarted my pc and checked temperature through BIOS, so I guess neither of them

A test under full load with HWmonitor will help me understand the temps you have, if your CPU is throttling, then your performance will dip.[b/]

Does your HDD/SSD need a defrag/TRIM

I don't know

Go to start, type 'Defragment' and it should have a defragment and optimize your drives, run the defrag on HDD and the TRIM/optimize on your SSD, ensure that if you have a SSD that the optimize is 'trimming' and not defragmenting the drive

Have you tried using a different Ethernet cable
No I haven't, I will try.

Have you tried Pingtest[b/]...

I restarted my PC and went into BIOS

The temperature was:
CPU: +116,6 °F / +47.0 °C
MB: +86 °F / +30 °C

Is this good or bad? Also, I dont know the temperature of my pc when I'm ingame, dont know how to check either

those temperatures are fine. what games are you playing, what settings are you also running?

you have a pretty high end system there so all games should be playable lag free with medium or higher settings.

In fact, is it FPS stutter lag/or 'my bullets don't reg'?
If windows is on a HDD and it performs maintenance, it might causes frame drop

I didn't understand this.

Well if you have one disk drive (a HDD) and both your OS (windows) and your games (LoL) and Windows decides to run scheduled maintenance mid game, the Disk will suffer high usage and therefor frame drops perhaps, I had this issue when I was Single drive(HDD) and I played Arma 2, then windows would do something in the background and I'd notice dips in FPS [b/]

If your temps show high readings, I may suggest cleaning your PC, there are many guides on how this is done, Dust is a killer, my friend had his stock intel heatsink packed with dust and on CSGO he would reach 92c and he would get these crazy spikes of lag, hope you resolve your issue [b/]
