Hi all,

I hope you can help me because i've tried almost everything but can't solve this.
I have 2 laptops one is a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and the other is a Lenovo T430 and both are having issues with wifi but not my other devices such as smartphone, ipod, ipad, etc. They connect fine but are randomly getting "limited access". I know it is a common issue on the Yoga but it has never happened on the T430 before, so it must be an issue that is affecting both in the same way.

It began with our new router from the provider (which is VIVO from brazil) when we moved to a new apartment. I tried reseting the router, updating wifi drivers, changing settings on wifi device, running commands in cmd such as ipconfig /flushdns /release /renew and others.

For info the Yoga is running windows 8.1 and the T430 is running windows 7. I considered buying another router but i don't want to risk spending money for nothing.

Thank you and sorry for my english

ASUS Q550LF/ LIMITED CONNECTIVITY SOLUTION!! UNINSTALL YOUR ANTI VIRUS PROGRAM AND REINSTALL IT! Worked for me! I just have to share..I Love my Asus Q550LF Laptop w/Windows 8.1. After this annoying yellow triangle/exclamation point has been stuck on my 5 full, internet connection bars, for the last 18 hours. During this time I have uninstalled and re installed my wireless driver with Asus tech on phone, I was advised by geek at Best Buy that it was my Internet provider, whom of course we knew it wasn't, due to the fact that at least 6 other devices were having No connectivity issues. Reset modem, router 3 times...... AND THEN....after searching the internet for Fixes, and searching All of my network connections and drivers, ......I saw an update from my antivirus software and the update was having issues and a little yellow triangle/exclamation point appeared..... I saw the connection. I sure hope this helps someone because Mannnn that was a bit stressful and not fun. Good Luck all.

To "AMAZEMENT", please avoid using all caps.

In answer to your original question, first step is to eliminate potential software issues. Since it's happening on multiple devices I assume it's not software. Given the diversity of devices I'm thinking wifi interference. If you have access to the router's admin settings, change the transmit power to 100% and change the channel to something random (it's usually set on 1 or 6). If that doesn't work, try connecting with an ethernet cable to make sure the router itself is not failing.

If your router security mode was "WPA" or "WPA2",you can try to change to "WEP", because "WPA" expand more router's cpu performance than "WEP", I konwed some older router only support a few device connect on "WPA" mode.

I think that you misunderstood me..... No Other Devices were having this Limited connection issue and my issue was resolved by uninstalling and then re installing my antivirus software. Thanks
