First off, i would like to say thank you for dedicating some time to help me with my problem.
My system:
CPU I7 2600k
MOBO asrock Z77 extreme 4
RAM G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
Power corsair TX750

i will try to make this short and simple

Issue began last night when i noticed windows 7 only saying i had 4 cores instead of 8 (device manager only saw 4 as well). I went into the BIOS to find the problem and hyperthreading WAS enabled however at the top of the page (where cpu info is listed) the Bios said hyperthreading is not supported. To fix this issue, i cleared the CMOS. After that, my hyperthreading problem was solved but another problem began. Now my current problem is my memory speed and overclocking. I have absolutely no option for any XMP profiles and the highest speed for my ram ,that i can select, is DDR3 1333. Next, any setting i enter to OC my cpu multiplier is immediately set to a 38 multiplier (EX: i enter 42 press enter and is reset to 38) and none of the values i enter on the OC page are used when i boot into windows. I use CPU-Z for monitoring.

If i am missing any valuable info please let me know.

I am exactly into trying to resolve exactly apparently the same problem. (RAM limitd to DDR3 1333, no multiplier rising)

Did you get any solution to this problem?
