Just recently got my Ducky Shine 3. Plugged it in and it lights up but none of the keys will type. I can change the lighting modes and everything but the keys refuse to be put on the screen, even the shortcut calculater and web browser buttons work when plugged in. IT JUST WON'T TYPE! I do not get it, I tried restarting my PC and tried every USB port. It says failed to install drivers so I troubleshoot and apply the fix and it just keeps prompting me to fix it after I already clicked apply fix.... Not sure what it could be are the keys locked or something? I went to ducky's website and installed the latest firmware and still nothing. My old keyboard works fine except my old keyboard only works in one usb port, it fails to work in any others. Please help!!

Assuming the problem is still there in safe mode and changing BIOS settings hasn't helped the only fruitful thing I can suggest is to back up your PC and reinstall Windows. If it was just the keyboard causing problems then I'd say its faulty but your mouse too....sounds like driver issues or weird IRQ issues

There may be a way to uninstall just the USB controllers and then reinstall them from your motherboard disc but not if your mouse won't work in windows. Is the mouse still flaky if you load up windows with no keyboard or other USB devices plugged in at all? If you get a POST error on booting just go in the BIOS and change "Halt on keyboard" to "Halt on none"

What about other USB ports? Do other things work in them like USB memory sticks and webcams or your mobile phone?

Have you tried installing the drivers in safe mode?

Have you tried unplugging your mouse and just trying to install the keyboard drivers?

Look at the settings in the BIOS that are related to USB ports such as legacy USB support and try disabling/enabling them one by one

Its either your motherboard that's faulty or your keyboard or some weird issue with the PSU.

What make and model of motherboard and power supply do you have?

My keyboard and mouse work fine in the bios but when windows loads up it just doesn't work anymore. I can't even get to my desktop now because I have a password enabled and I can't type it in. I've reset multiple times and still nothing. Mouse is now doing the same thing. I have an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboard and a Corsair GS600 power supply
