are there cheaper/newer alternatives?

I'm getting,more precisely already got FX-6300 (kinda.. one of the best CPUs from the cheaper end..as far as I know) thinking about buying M5A97 ,are there any cheaper or newer alternatives for it? in store they said this motherboard is a bit outdated or something..would like to save atleast 10$ if possible if there's some other one with AM3+ socket.

Get a Gigabyte GA-970a-UD3P, it's the best 970 board out there and it's fit for overclocking

M5A97 (non LE) also fit for overclocking and seems a bit cheaper,whats the difference between em?
also ive seen DA-970A-D3P somewhere,is that one bad? also checked out some asrock 970s but they dont support 1866MHz RAM i use and got some.. unexpected flaws.

The Asus has a 4+2 power phase, whereas the Gigabyte has a 8+2 power phase, therefore the Gigabyte can handle a LOT more than the Asus
