Hey all just bought my new benq ew2440L monitor and just set it up next to my benq RL and the quality of it is horrible, its hard to read text and everything is just blurred. even the wallpaper looks a lot worse. I had trouble installing the driver as well it wouldn't let me install as there is nothing to click on, anyone know anything about this?

So using VGA is almost certainly the problem.
HDMI is the next best option then. You probably have an underscan issue (common with HDMI - one of the many reasons I recommend against it when possible)

Your GPU's control panel should have options to change the under/over scan to get rid of those bars
I might be able to come up with more specific instructions if I know your GPU brand (Intel, AMD, NVidia)

I can't find any tutorials online at all about setting up these monitors to optimal settings, but i'm not sure whats wrong because with either cable its hard to even read the text

I just looked at your monitor spec page and it looks like it doesn't have a native DVI-D (!) port. I was going to suggest trying to
swapping the cable out with your main monitor but you could only do that with a DVI to HDMI converter.

At this point it is probably a monitor problem and you should look at returning it

Ok so i just tried resetting the colour setting on the monitor and it made it a lot better but now there is like a shadow behind the text which makes it hard to read.
It still makes everything look a little blurry. i'm just so used to my other perfect monitor
