So the idea is I have created a VHD of my Windows OS using the create a system image in the backup and restore program. I plan on converting this VHD to an ISO in order to use it to install Windows 7 Ultimate on my mac through boot camp. The question is how do i go about converting the VHD file to a working ISO file. Thanks.

Forget it. A system image created on one computer will not work on a different computer. In your case it wouldn't be legal either as the end-user licence allows you to run only one copy of it at a time.

And if it was preinstalled at the factory (OEM) it's not transferable to another PC anyway (another end-user licence restriction on OEM installations).
