CCC.exe Worm Virus

Hello, I'm using AVG anti-virus and it detected ccc.exe as a worm virus. The problem is AVG can not remove it. I also ran malwarebytes and Panda Cloud Cleaner and they did not detect it. What should I do. I don't want to restore my computer to factory settings if I don't have to. Yes, I do have a backup.

ccc.exe is the Catalyst Control Center from AMD hence the others didn't "detect" it because AVG is being stupid and honestly shouldn't be removing it. AVG falsely detected it as a worm. I don't know AVG that well but hopefully there is an option to tell AVG to ignore the file as that is not a virus but rather part of your AMD GPU's device drivers.

Try Hitman Pro

You can usually find the ccc.exe file in "\ati\support\ati.ace\core-static" folder. If it is found anywhere else,please know that ccc.exe may be a virus, adware, trojan, or worm. Check your PC with an advanced antivirus program to ensure it is not infected.

I don't like AVG, and it seems that it has picked up ccc.exe as a false positive.

CCC.exe is related to the graphics card in your computer. Its made by AMD and is an important part to the software on your computer and how it works. If you were successful in removing it, you would of had many problems with your graphics probably and ended up here with that problem instead.

Long story short, don't remove it, and if AVG says to get rid of it again, don't listen to it.

Thank You for the help. It is the first time it detected it. I got scared half to death. All of you answers were good. I maybe a I.T student but when it comes to my computer I die.
