I have a cooler master hyper 212 plus cooler and due to its size its almost blocking the fan opening of PSU in my top mounted case. I want to ask if it will increase the temperature in my PSU due to possibly reduced airflow??
My PSU already runs hot and I dont want to make things worse.

Inside of the case. (a pic from the internet similar to my case)

Not if you keep it on the floor like that with the side panel off :p

Seriously you need a better case, and a better PSU!

Yeah, that's not so good. Half of it is blocked and the other half is getting fed hot air from the HSF. Is there a fan grill in the top of the case above the PSU? If so, you should flip it so the fan is drawing cool air from outside the case. If there isn't a filter there, you'll want to add one. Silverstone makes some magnetically attached filters that work well.

If that's not an option, you could try flipping the 212 fan to the other side so it's pulling instead of pushing. That way more of the 212's exhaust is going out the back vent instead of into your PSU, and the more of the airflow being drawn to the 212 will be available to the PSU.

The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head would be to switch the 212 with a low profile cooler and add in a rear exhaust fan.

Its not the exact pic but its pretty similar plus two 120mm case fans. I have an antec tp-750 psu and I keep the side panel on :)
