Could it be my PSU?

Hi guys... today, I've got a new GPU and it's the Asus R9 280x and I've crossfired it with another.

Once gaming, it's fine for until 5 minutes later, the WHOLE system just automatically shuts down out of no where. Could it be that my PSU is insufficient for these two graphics cards? I've got the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B1

Please let me, thanks in advanced guys!

Also, if there are any fixes, do you think I could underclock my card so that they won't peak the power supply?

I know for a fact that I'll be getting the EVGA SuperNOVA 850G2 in the near future. But for the meantime, I just want to know if this would fix this problem!

A 280X should have at least 850w , and yes your 750 isn't sufficient to run 2 cards, that EVGA is very poor and unstable , the 850w is the best on the market.

Replacing the poor and underpowered PSU and your problem should be resolved.

The EVGA 850w G2 is the perfect solution. :D

I knew that it was the power supply itself. I'll probably turn off crossfire for now until I can get a new power supply sufficient enough to power these beasts. Anyways, thanks a lot for that information SR-71 Blackbird :)

So the 1000G2 and the 1000P2 are almost identical other than the efficiency right? How's the fans on these power supplies? I've got the B1 and the fan sucks. Also the capacitors buzz almost all the time when under load.

The Fans are quiet and can barely here it.

The B2 , G2 , P2 , and soon to be T2 are the good ones.

So the 1000G2 and the 1000P2 are almost identical other than the efficiency right? < YES

Here's my P2:

Linus SLIed two GTX 780s with a 700w psu so I would imagine that this wouldn't be the problem, but it might be depending on the quality of your PSU.In the mean time, underclocking will help here. I say you should underclock your cpu and gpu a lot and check to see if it's still causing problems. If it is, the problem is not the psu (at least not the wattage of the psu).

Edit: You don't need 1000w.That wattage is reserved for 3-Way SLI/Crossfire and there is absolutely no way a 2-Way SLI/Crossfire will utilize it.
