Hello

ive recently started to overclock my i5 4690k. the programs ive been using are intel's extreme tuning utility as well as OCCT for stress testing and monitoring temps.

here is my current stable max overclock

4.5 ghz at 1.24volts 22C ambient, ~30C idle and about 60C while under a stress test on OCCT for about 2 hours.

i think my temps and voltages are fine at 4.5ghz but anything past that is unstable. going 4.55ghz at 1.3v has proven to be unstable as i get the BSOD before a minute of stress testing. im not that comfortable going past 1.3v as ive read that its the max safe voltage for the longevity of the CPU.

knowing this have i reached my max overlock and how would that compare to other i5 devils canyon owners? i would like to see people post their overclocks if possible :D

specs:
-MSI z87 g43 gaming motherboard
-4g corsair vengeance 1600mhz
-i5 4690k
-corsair h60 2013 refresh
-sapphire r9 270x OC
-silverstone 500w strider essentials
-enclosed in a cooler master n300
-fans include one 120mm sickle flow intake in the front, rear intake fan with the radiator for fresh air for the CPU (h60), and an exhaust at the top.

Your temps suggest that you can add more volts to it. I am on a 4670k delidded (basically ur chip) and am running a 4.6 oc at 1.256 however after 10 rounds of ibt the max temp hit 86 with avg around 79.
