Been 10 years since i last built a pc and things have moved on somewhat. Please could someone look over my proposed build for video editing. Most footage will be shot with the action cam Drift Ghost S in 720 or 1080p. 30 and or 60fps for slow motion effects. 720 can shoot upto 120fps. Will be using cyber link power director 12 for the editing software on windows 7 professional 64bit.

i5 3570k ivy bridge 3rd gen quad core 3.4ghz
Corsair H80i liquid cooler
asus-motherboard P8Z77-V LX ATX LGA1155
corsair vengence 16gb 4 x 4gb ddr3 2133mhz
Samsung 840 evo 250gb (OS AND PROGS)
Sea gate Barracuda 1Tb 7200rpm HDD
Fractal design define R4

Been trawling the internet trying to get an answer to whether i need a separate gfx card or not but not sure if this will help with editing. I own an nvidia GT7800 which i could use but games is not what this rig is for, have an xbox one for that.
Any advice would be appreciated thank you

What your budget for this rig?
One thing I noticed instantly is the i5. Its much more of a gaming oriented chip, for a video editing rig you want as beefy a CPU as possible, so youw ant to be looking at an i7. The motherboard is also a bit overkill for your needs.

When i read forums and reviews the performance differences between this i5 and i7's didn't seem to warrant the extra costs. I don't have a specific budget tbh but want to stay under £1000 for complete build. The pc i currently have has a AMD fx60 dual core with 4gb of ram and i want a new pc to be significantly faster than this.

For video editing I think most people would tell you it's a must (of course not litteraly) but editing applications often support hyperthreading (like PowerDirector) and should make the processing fast enough to notice the difference from an i5 processor.
