Hi

What is the best GPU for an upgrade from a Gigabyte R9 270 2GB. AMD, Nvidia? More or less memory? Best value for money without spending too much? Bottlenecking? Got an FX 6300, ASRock 970 pro 3 R2.0. Eventually going to upgrade CPUY and MoBo. Gaming on a 1680x1050 moniter.

It will be the 770 4GB.

But if you are on a budget then the 290 will be just as good or even the 280x might perform better than the 770.

The 760 doesn't belong to this comparison , I'd say the 290 proves to be the biggest bang for your buck , also the 280x is a worthwhile competitor for as good performance as the 770 and for less.

R9 290 is the best you can get but it will be bottlenecked by your CPU, so go for an R9 280x that will give you the best price/performance. Spend the rest you save on a better CPU.
