Hi there,

I currently have a GTS 450 on an Asus M4A88T-M board powered by a Corsair CX 500. And I'd like to upgrade my Card to a GTX 780.

My MB has one PCIe 2 slot while the card requires a PCIe 3 slot. I know, I've found many threads here that state that there wont be any noticeable difference. But I'm mainly going to use the card for some intense CG graphics which will primarily make use of the CUDA cores. So from that perspective, would there be any noticeable difference?

And apart from that, given the age of my Motherboard, are there any other incompatibilities that I should be aware of? ( For the higher power requirement, I'm going for a Seasonic SS-750KM3 )

Thank you very much in advance for any reply for this!

Tim

A pcie2.0 x8 or x16 slot will be fine. All LGA1150 are the same.

The Seasonic 750 will be fine.

Ah, that's brilliant, then! While I may eventually replace the MB to a bigger one to house more than one cards, I didn't want that expense on me just yet.

Thanks for the response :)
