Basic help with CPU radiator fan connections

I will be installing an Asus Z97-ws and this will be the first AIO I have installed. Intel 4790K with a NZXT Kraken X61. I will likely change out the fans to use Noctua 140mm PWM x 2 for a 280mm setup. My question is about where to plug in each fan. One fan to the CPU chasis and the other to the CPU OPT? Or should they both go to the CPU chasis using a splitter? I assume that the CPU OPT is for a second fan but could not find any info confirming it.

Have a look at the manual, it should tell you how to plug it in - http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/147-kraken-x61-liquid-cooler.html#

which will also go hand in hand with it's software.
