Put GPU in wrong pci-e slot,does it matter.

My motherboard is running PCI 3.0 and I accidentally put in the x8 slot,now that my PC is together again is it worth it to go back in and change it?My gpu is a hd7770.

You can go back in and change it without too much issue, but as the others have said, there is really no advantage of wasting the time to do so, unless you have something to put into the 8x slot.
