So, I just got a new BenQ GL2460 Monitor to replace a TV as my primary.

The other TV I was using as a secondary monitor has become blurry even though it's on the same resolution as before 1440x900, there is also a black bar running around the outside of the monitor.

Could it be because I switched the TV from VGA to HDMI?

My Graphics card is a Radeon 7790

Switch the connections back and see if the issue goes away. HDMI should have a clearer signal, but going from VGA it may look blockier and shaper than VGA. If you have a black bar around the screen,it seems like you are not running at the native resolution of the TV, check the specs on it.

Hmm, it seems that it becomes blurry only when using HDMI. Does this mean I can't use HDMI with the TV?

Unless there is a hardware issue or you have something not setup properly, HDMI would be fine. Can you take a clear picture and post it of exactly how the TV looks like and also of your video settings? What is the TV brand and model?

The TV make/Model is:Toshiba 19BV500B

The Settings are:
Resolution 1440x900 @ 25Hz
Colour Quality High (32-bit)
And it's an Extended desktop

Also I'm not sure how to post a picture. Would uploading it to a cloud service and linking that work, or is there an easier way? Thanks

You are running the wrong resolution and refresh rate for that TV. The specs are "1366 x 768 pixels. 50Hz"
