Hello, I was wondering, which waterblock is best for the XFX R9 290x. I have been researching some info and lots of users say that this gpu gets hot or overheats often, so I would want to install a waterblock. Please reply quickly! Thanks.

(Also, I don't know if this is in the right categorie or not. Since this is about graphics cards in a way and this thread is about graphics, I suspect that this can go in this categorie.)

Also, the XFX GPU is:

XFX kevin said they are Reference cards but he also told me the thermal pads where .5mm "way off BTW" so i don't think calling XFX and asking will help much.

I plan to do the same configuration with that exact card but in a cross fire setup. I'm currently looking at the EK cooling blocks as @krells mentions. This site does a good write-up on r9-290x waterblocks but it's not exactly the XFX DD R9 290x card. However, it's still good research prior to performing this type of upgrade with some useful expectations.

Once I decide what I'm going with I'll reply back to this post. Judging by the date of this post I'm sure you've already made a decision but for anyone curious on performing this with a Cross-Fire setup, it may be useful.
