Hi,
My PC is old. I only have about 9% of memory left.
This is what it has:
Mainboard : HP ML110 G4
Chipset : Intel i3000
Processor : Intel Xeon 3040 @ 1866 MHz
Physical Memory : 2048 MB (1 x 2048 DDR2-SDRAM )
Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 9300 GE
Hard Disk : Maxtor 4R160L0 ATA Device (164GB)
DVD-Rom Drive : SONY DVD RW AW-G170A
Monitor Type : Hewlett Packard HP L1940T - 19 inches
Network Card : Broadcom BCM5721 NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet PCIe
Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition Media Center 6.01.7601 Service Pack 1 (32-bit)

Is any of this useful or is it too outdated?

I mainly use my PC to play games casually but it is so slow and keeps crashing!

I have been looking online for a good build and everyone recommends i just build my own.
I had a go and this is whats i got http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/zL2rqs (not brought it yet)
Is this build any good?
Would it work?
Id like to keep the cost down so could any parts be down graded?
Id like to have duel monitors would this support it?
Could I use any of the components from my current PC?

I wont be buying it all at once. I will be buying a new part like every 2weeks or so.

I think you can do better.

1. Nothing wrong with the X4-750K.
On a budget, I might consider an Intel G1830 or another intel duo which costs less, and is still 2x the capability of your current cpu. In addition, it has integrated graphics so it does not need a dedicated graphics card.
Dual monitors at up to 1920 x 1200 is supported.
Considering the age of your pc, I might expect that your card is agp which is no longer supported.
Stare without a dedicated graphics card and see if you really need/want one.
2. Any lga1150 motherboard will do. Pick an inexpensive one of a size that will fit in your current case.
3. Buy a 8gb ram kit of 2 x 4gb. that gives you faster dual channel operation. If you use integrated graphics, pick 1866 speed, otherwise 1333 is ok.
4. Most likely your psu will be sufficient. If you use a discrete graphics card, more power might be needed.
5. You will probably want a sata dvd burner. No current motherboards have IDE connections. Fortunately, they are cheap.
6. No Ethernet card is needed, the motherboards already have a connector.
7. How much hard drive space do you actually need? Your ata device is obsolete.
I suggest you use a ssd. I will never again build without one. It makes everything you do so much quicker. 120gb may well be enough, check your usage.
But, see if you can't manage 240gb. Look for Samsung evo.
8. Your price for w7 pro seems too good to be true. Is it legit? There are no features that a home user would want pro for vs. home premium.

first, i think you mixed up ram speeds with your cpu speed, but anyways, just build you own. cpu looks fine, but i dont know too much about xeons. motherboard could use some replacing. GPU is OLD i would upgrade that too. i would also upgrade to about 8 gb of ram, 2 gb isnt much when it comes to gaming. I could help recommend parts, but you haven't given us a budget. Budget means everything when you are building a new pc.

1. I was told to go with AMD because its lower price and similar quality? I thought integrated graphics was only good for like using programs like word and excel?
2. I didnt know what would fit my case so i thought i may as well get a new one :/
4.The website i was using said Estimated Wattage: 239W
5. Could i use my SONY DVD RW AW-G170A?
7. I thought SSD where really expensive? My 152GB is almost full. I Can only have 1 game on there at a time :/
8. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008OS5NKW/?tag=pcp0f-21 im assuming its legit?

It says
Compatibility Notes
ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports.
Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs.

What does that mean? would i still work?
I wont be overclocking :/ I dont know enough about it
