Pretty much set on buying these parts today, just wanted to check i wasn't doing anything stupid.
CPU AMD Athlon X4 760K Black Edition
GPU Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X OC
CASE Corsair 200R Carbide Series Compact Mid Tower Case
MOBO Gigabyte GA-F2A58M-HD2 rev. 3 Socket FM2+/FM2 Motherboard
RAM Corsair Memory XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz
PSU XFX PRO550W P1-550S-XXB9 Power Supply
HDD Old 2tb i ripped from an old pc
Including OS (windows 7/8 it all comes to about £445)

First off, are all these parts compatable?
Is the 760k good enough for the 270x?
Is the 200r big enough for the 270x?
Can i overclock on the F2A58M, and what coolers can you suggest?
What kind of fps can i get on games like CSGO PayDay 1/2 and BF 3/4?
What operating system should i put with it? Windows 8.1 or 7? I think i prefer 7 but i heard 8.1 can be better for gaming?

Thanks, any and all answers would be awesome

everything looks good in your build!! but i would change the power supply for a higher wattage one if you plan on overclocking and for futur add on's . and for a good and quiet heat sink i suggest you the cooler master hyper 212 evo!

I believe the 750k will handle the 270x well. And the 270x will fit in the 200r, because the case will support up to 420mm GPU http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-200r-compact-atx-case and your 270x is about 300mm. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4795#sp

You can oc on the F2A58M but I don't know how far you can go. For the cpu cooler, hyper212 evo is good, and you may take a look at the Coolermaster Seidon 120V CPU Water Cooler too. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rls12v24pkr1

Your XFX PSU is very good. Keep it.

I will get the win7 pro for £44.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008OS5NKW/?tag=pcp0f-21 yes the win8 may have the better fps for some games, but for that price you can't refuse to buy it.

For the games, BF3/4 you can check here ( the review is for gtx750ti and r7 265, but it list the r9 270x) http://www.techspot.com/review/783-geforce-gtx-750-ti-vs-radeon-r7-265/ CSGO is the cpu intensive game and I can't find the review on, for the payday 1/2 I can't find the review too.
