Hello everyone,

I was searching on google and found this forum.

Thing is i got the ASUS P5G41T-MLX3 and two RAM memory of 4GB each DDR3 1333Mhz (KINGMAX)
They say on the ASUS homepage that I need too O.C. (overclock) my mother board to support 1333Mhz.Also on the RAM box says 1.5V.

My CPU is Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5700 @ 3.00GHz and I have a 450w power supply.

PLEASE HELP !!!

Thank you,

Vlad

That board is apparently very finicky about RAM support by vendor. The manual shows it only supporting Kingmax modules up to 2048 MB each while modules by some other vendors show to be supported in 4096MB sizes. Try installing just one module and see if that works. Try the module in each slot before moving on to the next module. You could even have a bad module. The manual containing all the important information regarding this board can be found here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5G41TM_LX/HelpDesk_Manual/

You may have to use a supported module for it to be recognized. I would advise contacting ASUS with your motherboard model number and the exact part number of you memory module to see whether or not it can be supported on this...
What speed is the memory being reported as now in the BIOS or during POST? Also, what BIOS version do you have installed? Most current BIOS is version 0503 with it and the three previous updates being related to "improve system stability" which could mean anything including improved support for cpu and memory issues so it's probably worth doing if you have an older version.

Hello darkbreeze thanks for the reply

I am currently using my other RAM memory card that has 2GB 1333Mhz

My BIOS version is 0302..you think thats the problem ? If yes, how do I Upgrade the BIOS ? (I have know idea about computers, I can only read and press buttons)

Thank You

Now you want to go into the BIOS and on the main page there should be a listing of your hardware. Processor, RAM, Hard drives, etc. should all have specifications listed on that page. See what your RAM is being reported as. It should say something like RAM......2GB/DDR3/1333mhz/dual channel or something similar (Of course yours won't say dual channel with only one module installed.). Just note what hardware is reported on that page and then let me know. If it's not automatically being detected at it's correct speed etc. we'll make some adjustments.

So at system info it says only the BIOS version (0503), my CPU (Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5700 @ 3.00GHz) and System Memory (Installed:2048 - Usable:2014)

**NOTE - I am using my 2GB RAM card which came when I bought the PC - If I try to install my 4GB RAM card it wont Boot)**

My JumperFree Config is all on AUTO (by default)

About the CPU :

FSB Speed: 800Mhz
Cache L1 : 64KB
Cache L2 : 2048KB
Ratio Status : Unlocked (Min:6, Max:15)
Ratio Actual Value : 15
CPUID : 1067A

hope it helps
