hello. so, my problem is like this: I have an HP Compaq 6715s .yesterday I unpluged a few times my laptop, and now it won't start unless I reset the BIOS (by reseting the bios, I mean unplugging that little battery for a few seconds and putting it back). I thought it was a BIOS problem. I upgraded the BIOS, I bought a new battery and stil... nothing. every time I want to start my laptop, I need to reset my BIOS. can anybody help me?

What you've been doing is resetting the CMOS, not BIOS. You may need to go into your BIOS and reset your boot priority so it knows to boot from your OS drive.

When you turn it on, what does it do - does it blue screen, black screen, automatically go to your BIOS?
