Switching from an AMD to a Nvidia GPU

Will I need to do anything special when I install my Nvidia GPU? Ex: Uninstall certain drivers, programs, etc? or is it just as easy as taking out my old AMD card and putting in my new Nvidia card?

I just remove the AMD card and install the Nvidia card and drivers, unless they are already installed from the last time cards were swapped around.
