Hello All,

Building a gaming rig for 1440p Gaming.

Could you guys take a look at this build and provide some input. Also, what kind of case fans with LEDs do you recommend?

This is a pretty good rig. Maybe change the case to the NZXT H440, it's a cooler all around case and would fit better with LEDs and gaming. To find a good fan, I'd go here. http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/case-fan/#sort=d6 I sorted it from top rated for you.

Case is fine and way better than the h440 imo, you dont need a h105, too overpriced, get the noctua dh 14 instead and saves you money for same perofmrance nearly, no need for 16gb ram, get 8gb and get a samsung or intel ssd instead, more reliable

In your budget, I'd stick with watercooling, that's my personal opinion. But maybe go with the h100i. It's more recommended.

I also recommend 16gb of RAM for 1440p gaming.

It's vram that helps, not system ram, and it's a waste of money for any aio imo, not as good price for performance

Well it all depends on what you're doing. If you are just gaming, legend001523 is right. 8GB is the sweet spot.

Noctua NF-F12 PWM - look like a top rated case fan...but they are not very pretty. Any compromise in good looking fans with good performance?

Corsair air series are good fans, comes in red black or blue and they also have led editions

I'm going for for good performance and good looks. The Corsair H105 and H100i have the performance and look and going for.

8Gb is fine for gaming as well as everyday use. The H105 performs better than the H100i, another option would be the H110 which has roughly the same performance as the H105 but is slightly quieter as well, you could also go for an NH-D15 if you're considering air cooling, which performs just as well as the liquid coolers that have been mentioned. As for the PSU, what is the exact model? (The PSU Calnin posted is a great unit) A single 780 Ti should be fine for 1440p, but if you want more power and have the money, why not?

Yes, corsair makes great fans the SP120 and AF140s specifically. Noctua fans are great if you can find a way to hide them somewhere.

Since you want a good looking rig, search 'avexir blitz lightning series' , there are ram sticks that have leds and looks very classy

The H105 was a better choice than the H100i, but I must say that an H110 would be my personal choice. Otherwise, this is an excellent build.
