is my motherboard DOA?

so i get a memory management BSOD with code 0x000001a
loads to 100 dump files and restarts
i only have 3 mins to do anything before it restarts

my motherboard has a high DOA rate
asus m5a78L-M LX plus

Yup, if it crashes with 1 module try the other one in its place. But atleast we have the timings set properly.

If you can't find the dram timing mode then thats fine. It would become very apparent if it was set incorrectly.


Woops thats my fault, I just glanced at the model number and thought it said x79. AMD doesn't have xmp profiles so your gonna have to dial in the numbers manually. The required settings will be on the sticks themselves and it will be something like 7-7-7-24 or 9-9-9-32 etc.

After that check if it crashes.
 


No, its possible that your motherboard just set the settings wrong. What specific ram do you have? (model number please)

I'll download your mobo manual to better help.

dude my computer wont load because i removed 1 module
