Hi there, never posted before.

My system is:
Amd Fx4130
16gb 1333 xms ram
MSI 280X graphics card
3 hard drives
A TV card
500watt cooler master psu

I've just installed the graphics card and it keeps cutting out such as the screen goes blue to show no signal then goes back to normal, this is continuous. When I put be 6670 back in its perfectly fine. Even tho it recommends 500 watt psu on the card would I probably be right in suggesting that there isn't enough power causing it to blank out?

Or will there be another issue? Many thanks in advance!

Most CM PSUs are low-quality, typically overrated (i.e. not good for what is on their labels). Although 500W-550W is enough for your rig, you want something higher quality, such as Seasonic, XFX, Antec, or a Rosewill Capstone.
Edit: Oooh, an Elite. That's at most a notch above "junk."

It's a cooler master elite 500 which doesn't even have a bronze rating. I'm going to go down the lines of this begin the issue. I just hope I haven't caused any damage.

Thankyou all for your help it's massively appreciated! Can I ask because PSUs aren't really my most knowledgeable subject. Are the corsair CXM series any good. Or any recommendations in a similar price bracket? Thanks!

Well everything is working fine now I've put the 6670 so just got to test the 280x I guess! Definitely fingers crossed. Thankyou all again. A credit to the website.
