I just purchased a Sapphire Toxic R9 280x and I am wondering if I need to upgrade my power supply which is current a Cooler Master GX 650w. Current have a Intel i5 (first generation from 2010 can't remember the model). I would really like to hear your opinions if you don't mind helping me with this issue.

No need to upgrade the Cooler Master GX650 has 52 amps on the 12v rail , which is more than enough for the card and your specs.

Really?

You can run SLI off a decent 650w PSU like that.

In other words, dont worry at all, it will be absolutely fine.

Your good to go, the PSU is decent and has a strong single 12v+ rail.
