Graphics Card Choice

Hi guys I wanted to have some opinions about GPU
I narrowed my choices down to -Sapphire r9 280x Vapor-X and Gigabyte GTX 770-
Wanted to ask which one is better for games and also in the future?

If you can afford it the 770 is better and will get more fps

Get the 280x. Offers marginally better performance, scaling with resolution increase, and costs less.

280x. It will be more future proof because it has 3gb VRAM. Games nowadays are using >2gb VRAM. Also, like Gam3r01 said, it costs less

Ok should I go for the Gigabyte 280x then? also if I were to go for 280x which one is better rev 1 or rev2?

I personally would pick sapphire tri-x or toxic.
The gigabyte was simply the card being reviewed.

Yes, thats the card I was reffing to. Dont know what its not in the PCpartpicker database.
It offers similar cooling and OC to the Vapor-x, but costs less most of the time.

yeah actually only £2 over than Vapor X.
But what I saw is that the tri needs 750watts and my gaming pc only have 500w installed on it should I buy a new power?

Well the 280x reference draws ~250w at load.
What specific PSU do you have? Specifically the amps on the 12v rail.

Depending on quality, you will be cutting it fairly close.

The Tri-X refers to the cooler, while Vapor-X refers to the heat pipes being used, and the overall color scheme. Im not too sure on the site being from the states, but its a vapor-x card.

I would just go with the tri-x (yellow)
It can Xfire as well.

Go for the one on amazon, i thought most tri x cards were yellow? cause the 290x tri x is yellow...
