My girlfriend recently updated her computer from Windows 8 to 8.1 Since then, she's been unable to connect to her home wi-fi. She can only connect via cable. Unfortunately, neither of us have disks to roll her back to Windows 8.

Now here's what's weird. Yesterday she brought her computer to my house and it connected to my wi-fi with no problem.

I updated her adapter drivers to Windows 8.1 but that had no effect on her ability to connect to her home wi-fi network.

Last night she ran "troubleshoot problems" and it says that her adapter is damaged. I highly doubt that since the computer is only a couple of months old and she could connect to my wi-fi network.

So any thoughts on what the problem is and/or potential solutions to try???

Type of Computer: Lenovo G405
Router/Modem: ZTE ZXHN F660
Wi-Fi Adapter: Broadcom BCM4313 802.11b/g LP-PHY

Thanks!

The link shows "Networking: LAN (Ethernet)" is Atheros whereas "Networking: Wireless LAN" is Atheros/Broadcom.

I assume the second one is for the wi-fi?

Thanks, I'll take a look at that this weekend!
