Charter cable just went 100% digital. Before I could program my RCA DVD recorder to record different channels at different times with no problem. I could watch any TV programs at the same time . Now I set up DVD recorder and when I playback, all I get is a blue screen and noise. How do I get my DVD recorder to work like before?

Probably can't, the copyright signal is probably passed on or something and the dvd player won';t record anything with that signal.

assume you have it all hooked up correctly that is.

Get an aerial, or get a DVR from your operator. You might also want to read ToS you've signed, to see whether you/they have any legal ground.

If your DVD recorder has to ability to change channels on a cable box you could get another box and connect it to the recorder. You would have to pay the additional charge for the box so getting a DVR cable box might be a better option.
