Can I stick my high voltage RAM into an Ultabook that likes low voltage RAM?

I have a friend with an Ultrabook that wants low voltage RAM (1.35v, I think). I just have regular voltage memory, but it is the same type in every other regard.

Anyway, he wants to see if he'll notice the difference, so I thought I'd let him plug my RAM in for a few minutes to see if it feels different. But I am just wondering if it will fry my RAM (or his Ultrabook).

i doubt it will work with the voltages wrong. i think the ultrabook wouldnt boot, id give it a slight chance of something frying. i'm guessing you have your own laptip ram? desktop ram and laptop ram are different
