ah ok wel since you are aiming for 4k you should be getting the i7 4790k, 16GB of memory, and probably your original build would be best since that is what you are aiming for

in your original build you had 2 r9 290's what type of monitor do you own? and are they above 1920x1080. if they are not running any card in SLI is complete overkill. so one of your r9 290's would be better.

also being that you have a big budget let's look at your storage options. the 2TB hdd is fine for games but for your system/boot drive with your budget you really need to put a 256/512GB SSD in there also. let me linky

it is a worthwhile upgrade with signficant boost to your system feeling snappy and respsonsive

also yeah with the r9 290 yeah you get pretty beasty performance above 1080p. benchmark on anandtech review says you get about 80 fps on crysis @ 1080p which is well above 60. so if your only gaming at 1080p you could go for the 270 or the 270x and shave a few dollars. just food for thought. have you used windows 8.1? do you like the revamped interface? if so then great. in okncaline he put a 1000w power supply yeah overkill for one 290x you can do with a 700w just fine. unless you are going to get the 2. depends on your monitors and if your gaming above 1080p

I think he forgot the GPU's lol anyway I game on 1 1080p monitor with a secondary one for youtube, etc. The reason Im buying this build is that I want a 4k display. Also I have an ssd (Samsung EVO 256 GB)
