Xbox 360 to Samsung Syncmaster via VGA: No Signal

I recently bought this cable to connect to my Samsung Syncmaster T240HD and when i plug it in and turn on my Xbox 360, I still get no signal.
The cable works on my larger Samsung TV (same generation) and the VGA port on the monitor does work with PCs.
Any idea why it isn't working?

Yes, And it has autoswitch when you plug something in and and it does not switch if I am on another source

Oddly enough, I put a VGA KVM switch between the xbox and the monitor and It works! But I have other uses for the kvm switch, so I can't use that. When a signal goes through a KVM, is the pin out changed?
