How To Safely Overclock an AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.80GHz?

Hi, I really want to overclock my AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.80 GHz, but I don't want to cause any damage to my PC in the process. Can someone please explain to me how to do this safely? My computer specs are:
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.80GHz
Motherboard: Pegatron 2A6C
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 5470
OS: Windows 7 Home Edition
