I'm looking to build a laptop (if possible) or desktop(if a laptop is out) to do 3-D architectural design and rendering on. I would be using programs like 3-D Studio Max and Photoshop, and a Wacom tablet. I am thinking of getting a 4-core i7, but other than that, I am somewhat confused; the speed of change in technology as well as the fact that I haven't built a computer in 10 years has me reeling...What do you recommend?
