Overclocking i7 965 extreme

Hi guys i have an old cpu and motherboard and I was wondering if it would be a good idea trying to overclock my cpu.. my motherboard is rampage ii extreme along with the i7 965 extreme
also have a msi r9 280 and 8gb of ram!

All that's great, but what we really need to know is what brand and model of PSU you have and what you have in the way of cpu cooler and case fans. Unless you just want to OC and enjoy it 'til it dies. Just kidding about that last part.

My psu is made in denmark and it 700 watts I dont remember the brand name but it has 4 rails.. and the cooler im changing it cause this one is already outdated im gonna be upgrading to a Corsair H55
