I've tried everything, I have 2 monitors both are VGA, so i have adapters, I can get one to work with the DVI-I adapter but the DVI-D and Display Port won't work, I don't know if it is because my monitor is vga or what, but I've tried everything and I can't get them to work at the same time. I would LOVE some help please.

to explain DVI-I and DVI-D are different. DVI-D can only accept a digital signal, DVI-I can accept both digital and analog with the use of an adapter. that's why your VGA monitor works on the DVI-I but does not work on the DVI-D, Display Port is digital signal only so i'm pretty sure VGA wont work. you can try and expensive 50+ dollar adapter you can find on amazon which is flaky at best. but really still using VGA monitor? time for an upgrade! huzzah! just be sure to get a 1080p 24 incher cuz that's a really good price point. and try and get one with HDMI, VGA, and DVI ports on it.

So why do they sell VGA to DVI-D adapters if they won't work? u.u

Thanks for the info, and I should buy one of those but I think I'll hold off and save money to buy a new monitor, I already wasted money on 2 useless adapters.
