I want to get a Gigabyte R9 270X. What Cpu would be better for it. AMD 8230 or AMD 8350. If you also know a good combo for an i5 under $200 and a Gpu under $200 that would work.

I would recommend getting fx 8320 it uses way much less power for almost same performance that you probably wont even notice
also fx 8320 lowers its power when you dont need to and when you need more than 3.5ghz it automaticly goes to 4.0ghz if you really need that much and if you dont, it goes lower. and fx 8350 turbo mode only up to 4.2 from 3.9 so yeah...

at least im going with fx 8320

I got r9 270, but you could get r9 270x or r9 280x not sure about r9 290, but it still probably wouldn't bottleneck, at least these graphics in my place are really cheap for the performance i bought mine for £124 and there are lots of nvidia cards who cost £50-£100 more and actually gives less performance that this one

Sorry, that's wrong. The FX-8320 bottlenecks a GTX 750 Ti in some games, let alone a stronger card like an R9 270X or R9 290.

you mean it bottlenecks 750 and does not r9 ?

No, I mean it would bottleneck any of the three in some games.

So what kind of card would go with this CPU.

I was a bit wrong about power consumption, both of them uses almost same.

If you want to overclock get fx 8350 if not just go with the cheapest as they almost the same just fx 8350 can be overclocked more and about that guy saying fx 8320 will bottleneck it is bullshiet. There is many people doing fx 8320 r9 270x combo including me, type on youtube r9 270x fx 8320 on youtube to see proof, there are plenty of videos with insane performance.

you wont be disappointed with either

I have been looking at the AMD FX 8320 ans 8350 for a long time and I saw that a R9 270X and 280 handled it well. So thank you for your time.
