Avermedia Live Gamer Portable vs Elgato Game Capture HD

So I am planning on recording pc gameplay with a capture so my frames don't drop. I was stuck between these two capture cards, and I was wondering which one is better. I'm not sure if I want to record console(if I do, it will be ps3). If I don't record console, I could just go with the Live Gamer Portable Lite. I heard the LGP won't support dual monitors. My gaming setup will have one monitor for gaming and another for desktop. Also, which capture card has better software? I was planning on live commentating with a usb headset.
Thanks in advanced.

I think the elgato is a better one however if you have a good pc that has a pcie express slot then you might as well consider the AVerMedia Game Recorder -C985 Live Gamer HD. Game Capture/ Live Stream HD 1080p 30 FPS

If I don't plan on recording ps3, what about the live gamer portable lite, which is $60 cheaper than Live gamer HD.

The lite is good , again there's Avermedia HD DVR which goes into the pc directly and can be found as cheap as $79.99

Also, I did hear that Avermedia had issues, like the "Blue Ring of Death". I was wondering if that was true.

I have the HD-DVR and I can show you my vids quality , I never had any problems before and I use their software which is good !

My vids ( HD-DVR 79.99$ I've had it for 3 years ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vESkxHWXjE8&list=UU0S4Y...

The only downside is that you record at 720p with the HD-DVR but when rendering you can scale it to 1080p and you wouldn't tell a difference.
