Custom Water Cooling loop maybe with kraken G10, looking for a vram cooling solution

I'm looking to apply a liquid cooling solution to my R9 290 non-x when it comes in through the mail. At the same time I don't want my vram to burst into flames. I plan on cooling the gpu with a universal waterblock(in a loop with my CPU) and apply some copper heatsinks to the vram. Ideally I want to apply a non-ghetto rigged fan to it too(I'm still open to 3rd party options), namely the Kraken G10 for it's aesthetics and it's fan. However I am well aware the Kraken isn't compatible with custom water loops without hacking off sections of it, which falls under jury-rigging it. If I do that I'll probably end up doing a hack job screwing up the ascetics and possibly ruining it all together.

So I want to know if there is any cost effective solutions available that I can use to cool the vram in conjunction with a universal water block.

There was someone who used to post on this forum who did something along the lines of what your looking for.
He had ASUS DCII cards, what he did was remove the actual heatsink from the cooling solution, mounted his universal block and VRAM heatsinks, and kept the original shroud and fans attached. Ran the fans at a very low RPM to service the VRM, cut a hole at the end of the shroud to run tubing.

I would link the build log but its hard to find nowadays.

This might be one, doesn't seem good enough though:

I'm also thinking and looking for exactly same thing, but no good anwer so far. Since the idea of NZXT G10 and Corsair HG10 are out, I believe soon there will be products can serve the purpose by demand....maybe a universal gpu block with extra bracket can mount a fan... or a seprate universal fan bracket can be mounted on any cards(how hard it can be? there are plenty adjustable moblie phone holders)
