need psu for a first build

hey guys Im building my new pc and was going to get a gs600 watt for my psu but they wer out of stock so now looking at a 700 watt for $120 but I saw a cougar psu at 1000 watts called the cmx1000 for $167 plus postage was wondering what you guys think.

you could go with as little as a 500w psu. The 1000w psu is overkill by almost 500w but it can never hurt and you could go 3 maybe even 4 way sli with the 660 before upgrading your psu. If you are willing to spend that much money then I guess go for it. Just know that its WAYYYYY overkill.

I looked at a few more psu's and found the 850 Watt Cougar CMX850 80+ Modular Bronze Power Supply for $129 and want to know if cougar is any good also what is 3 and 4 way sli because I am new to the whole pc thing.
